Former MNA Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Launches Street Solar Light Schemes in Darkened Villages of Mirpurkhas

Mirpurkhas
Former independent Member of the National Assembly and senior political figure Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, widely regarded as one of the most popular leaders of Mirpurkhas district, has once again taken a significant step toward community welfare by launching street solar light schemes in several long-neglected villages of Taluka Hussain Bux Mari. The initiative aims to bring light and security to areas that have remained in darkness for years due to the absence of basic infrastructure.

According to local sources, the solar street light schemes were provided for villages located in Dehs 94, 95, 96, 97, and 121, which had long suffered from inadequate electricity facilities. These villages, home to hundreds of families, have faced numerous social and security challenges due to poor lighting, especially after sunset. The installation of solar-powered street lights is expected to significantly improve daily life, mobility, and safety for residents.

The implementation of the project was carried out under the supervision of respected local personality Ghulam Ali Dal, who ensured transparent distribution and proper installation of the solar lights. The initiative covered multiple villages belonging to influential and representative local elders, including Raees Wazir Ali Mari, Raees Zeeshan Mari, Raees Bhuro Khan Mari, Huzoor Bux Mari, Shah Nawaz Mari, Khadim Hussain Mari, and Suleman Khaskheli.

Speaking on the occasion, local elders expressed deep gratitude to Syed Ali Nawaz Shah and his team for addressing a long-standing issue faced by their communities. They stated that the lack of street lighting had not only caused inconvenience but also increased the risk of theft, accidents, and other security concerns. The newly installed solar lights, they said, will help restore a sense of safety and dignity among villagers.

Residents highlighted that this is not the first time Syed Ali Nawaz Shah has stepped forward to support underdeveloped areas of Mirpurkhas. Even after no longer holding an elected office, he has continued to play an active role in addressing public issues, particularly in rural and marginalized regions. Community members praised his consistent engagement with grassroots problems, describing him as a leader who remains accessible and committed to public service.

Local elders further noted that solar energy is a sustainable and cost-effective solution, especially for rural areas where grid electricity is unreliable or entirely absent. By introducing solar street lights, the initiative not only provides immediate relief but also promotes environmentally friendly energy solutions. Villagers expressed hope that such projects would inspire further development initiatives in health, education, and infrastructure.

During informal interactions, Syed Ali Nawaz Shah emphasized that development work should not be limited to election cycles. He reiterated his belief that serving the people is a continuous responsibility and that rural areas deserve equal attention and resources. He added that access to basic facilities such as lighting, clean water, and roads is essential for social stability and economic progress.

Community representatives also acknowledged the role of Syed Ali Nawaz Shah’s team, stating that coordinated efforts and local supervision ensured that the solar lights were installed where they were most needed. They described the project as a symbol of hope for villages that have long been overlooked by formal development programs.

The initiative has been widely welcomed across the area, with residents calling for similar schemes to be extended to other darkened villages in the taluka. Many believe that improved lighting will enhance social activities, enable children to study during evening hours, and support small-scale economic activity.

In conclusion, the distribution of street solar lights in Dehs 94, 95, 96, 97, and 121 of Taluka Hussain Bux Mari stands as a meaningful step toward rural uplift in Mirpurkhas district. The effort led by former MNA Syed Ali Nawaz Shah reflects a continued commitment to public welfare, sustainable development, and grassroots empowerment. For the residents of these villages, the newly lit streets are more than just illumination—they represent recognition, care, and a renewed sense of belonging.
