Islamabad has been placed under heightened security as authorities prepare for a possible second round of negotiations between the United States and Iran. In anticipation of these high-level diplomatic engagements, law enforcement agencies have implemented strict measures across the federal capital and adjoining areas.

Security has been significantly increased on major roads in both Islamabad and Rawalpindi, with personnel from police, Rangers, Frontier Corps (FC), and other law enforcement agencies deployed at key نقاط. Officials clarified that both the Red Zone and the extended Red Zone will remain completely closed for all kinds of traffic. However, offices and business centers located outside these restricted zones will continue to operate as usual, minimizing the overall impact on economic activity.

Public transportation has also been affected, with the Metro Bus service in the twin cities suspended entirely. This suspension is expected to continue for several days, adding to commuting challenges for daily passengers.

Furthermore, authorities have decided to shift classes to online mode in most educational institutions across Islamabad and Rawalpindi for the coming week. This measure is intended to reduce movement and ensure the safety of students and staff during the heightened security situation.
