Hyderabad: Police in Hyderabad have intensified operations against criminals, drug dealers, and sellers of gutka, mainpuri, and counterfeit products, resulting in multiple arrests and significant recoveries across different police stations.

The operations were conducted on directives of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razaq Khan Dharijo and SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar, as part of an ongoing crackdown on anti-social elements.

Pinyari Police Raid on Fake Cigarette Supply

Police Station Pinyari carried out an intelligence-based raid near the wall of the Filter Plant in Khursheed Town, where they foiled the supply of a large quantity of counterfeit cigarettes.

During the operation, the suspected supplier identified as Saleem Soomro managed to escape from the scene.

Police recovered:

• 60 cartons of various brands of counterfeit cigarettes

A case has been registered under multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including provisions related to public health and illegal trade (Sections 269, 270, 482, 485, 486 PPC).

A-Section Police Arrest Drug Dealers

In a separate operation, Police Station A-Section conducted a patrol during which officers arrested two suspected drug dealers:

• Tanveer Odh
• Hammad Odh

Two other suspects, Junaid and Osama, fled the scene.

Police recovered:

• 12 bottles of liquor

A case has been registered under the Prohibition (Hudood) Order Sections 3/4 against the arrested and absconding suspects.

Market Police Recover Liquor, Arrest Suspect

Police Station Market also conducted a targeted patrol operation and arrested a suspected drug dealer identified as Ayub Khan Rind Baloch.

Recovered items include:

• 4 bottles of liquor

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Prohibition (Hudood) Order.

Ongoing Operations

According to police officials, further operations are ongoing across Hyderabad to curb illegal trade, drug trafficking, and counterfeit goods distribution.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and eliminating criminal networks operating in the region.
