The party has announced plans to march towards Islamabad on October 10, prompting local administration and law-enforcement agencies to take precautionary measures to ensure public safety and maintain order.

As a visible security measure, municipal and police authorities have deployed concrete containers at the strategic Faizabad interchange — a site that has in the past been a flashpoint during large demonstrations. Sources told reporters that additional checkpoints and traffic-control measures have been put in place on main arteries leading into Islamabad and around key government and diplomatic precincts.

City officials have also issued orders for hotels along Murree Road near Faizabad to vacate guests as part of contingency planning. While major routes between Rawalpindi and Islamabad remain open for now, officials said they are keeping the situation under close review and will close roads temporarily if threats to public safety emerge. “We will not allow any blockage of roads or activities that disturb public life,” CCPO Hamdani warned. “While the right to peaceful protest is recognized, any attempt to use the protest as a cover for violence or to attack property or law-enforcement agencies will be dealt with firmly and in accordance with the law.” He reiterated that law enforcement remains committed to protecting citizens’ safety and preventing escalation.
