Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly Anthony Naveed visited Sukkur, where he held a detailed meeting with Commissioner Sukkur Division Abid Saleem Qureshi at his office. The meeting focused on the city’s educational system, social welfare, cultural activities, and overall development.

During the visit, several key officials were also present, including Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Nadir Shehzad, Deputy Mayor Dr. Arshad Mughal, SSP Sukkur Azhar Mughal, and Commissioner SMC Ali Raza Ansari. The session provided an opportunity for an in-depth discussion on strategies to enhance Sukkur’s civic and developmental progress.

Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed emphasized that Sukkur is one of Sindh’s most historic and strategically important cities, whose development is directly linked to the overall prosperity of the province. He reaffirmed that the Sindh government is committed to transforming Sukkur into a model city in terms of education, culture, and social welfare.

Commissioner Abid Saleem Qureshi briefed the Deputy Speaker on the ongoing development projects across Sukkur, highlighting progress in infrastructure, public service delivery, and urban management. He stated that the district administration is actively working to resolve urban challenges, improve basic amenities, and ensure sustainable development for residents.

Deputy Commissioner Nadir Shehzad and Deputy Mayor Dr. Arshad Mughal also shared updates on local governance initiatives, emphasizing collaboration between municipal departments to strengthen civic services and environmental management in the city.

During the discussion, SSP Sukkur Azhar Mughal briefed the Deputy Speaker on the law and order situation, assuring that security measures are in place to maintain peace and support ongoing development efforts.

Deputy Speaker Naveed praised the efforts of local officials and urged them to maintain coordination among government departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
