First Winter Rain Hits Quetta and Border Areas of Balochistan, Cold Intensifies

Quetta and border areas of Balochistan, including Chaman, experienced the first winter rain of the season, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures.

Heavy rainfall was recorded along the Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran border regions, causing water accumulation in several low-lying areas.

The cold has also increased in areas such as Kohjak Top, Shilabagh, Qila Abdullah, Zhara Band, Toba Achakzai, and Khawaja Imran Range due to the rains.

According to the Meteorological Department, a western wind system, responsible for rainfall and snowfall in the mountains, is currently affecting Balochistan. Snowfall is expected in the mountainous regions of northern areas, including Kohjak Top.

Residents have been advised to take precautions as the cold wave intensifies across the province.
