A few weeks ago, WhatsApp announced a new feature called Message Summaries.

The main purpose of this feature is to help users save time by avoiding the need to read through multiple unread messages in full.

However, the Message Summaries feature currently works on only one chat at a time.

Now, WhatsApp is working on a new feature called Quick Recap, which will allow users to get summaries of messages from multiple chats simultaneously.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature has appeared in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android devices.

With this feature, users will be able to select chats and then tap on the Quick Recap option from the three-dot menu.

Doing so will generate a summary of unread messages from those selected chats.

Like Message Summaries, this new feature will also use Meta AI’s private processing technology.

Thanks to Meta’s private processing system, users’ data will not be shared with WhatsApp, Meta, or any third party.

The report also mentions that Quick Recap, like Message Summaries, will be an optional feature and will be turned off by default.

Although the feature is visible in the Android beta version, most beta users still cannot access it yet.
