Former US President Donald Trump said during the G7 summit that the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has been going on for too long and has caused significant civilian casualties.

He said he is not satisfied with Israel’s approach in Lebanon, especially regarding the timing and scale of recent strikes, which came close to an Iran-related agreement announcement.

Trump suggested that Israel should allow Syria to take responsibility for dealing with Hezbollah, claiming that the current Syrian leadership could manage the situation more effectively.

He added that ongoing fighting is harming broader peace efforts in the region and could negatively affect diplomatic progress, including discussions related to Iran.
