PSX: Stocks surge as KSE-100 gains over 3,000 points
The Pakistan stock market (PSX) closed higher on Wednesday, 4 November, 2026, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 3,994.62 points, or 2.38 per cent, to settle at 172,013.48 points.
The index had closed previously at 168,018.87 and traded between an intraday high of 172,287.00 and a low of 168,355.26.
Trading activity increased significantly, with turnover in the regular market reaching 841,615,061 shares, compared with 517,345,210 shares in the previous session.
The traded value surged to Rs. 35,392,047,344 from Rs. 20,703,717,174 previously, indicating stronger investor participation.
The total market capitalization also increased to Rs.18,777,326,770,764, up from Rs.18,395,695,261,470 in the previous session.
In the Ready Market, 368 companies recorded gains, while 103 declined and 28 remained unchanged, out of a total of 499 companies.
