25 Dead from Drinking Contaminated Water in India’s Madhya Pradesh

Reports have emerged that 25 people have died after drinking contaminated water in Madhya Pradesh, India.

According to Indian media, in Indore city, toxic water has claimed the lives of 25 individuals, while in the Mahu area, more than 24 people have developed jaundice.

Children are also among the affected. Residents of Indore have reported that muddy and foul-smelling water is coming from the taps, causing illness in both children and adults after consumption.

Indian media reports indicate that the situation is alarming in several areas of Indore. Locals say that in some places, water pipelines pass dangerously close to dirty drains and sewage lines.

Authorities have collected water samples for testing and have imposed a ban on using the suspected contaminated water.
