Quetta: A fire broke out in a private plaza on Prince Road, causing significant damage to numerous shops.

Rescue officials reported that the fire has now been brought under control, and cooling operations are ongoing. Dozens of shops were affected by the blaze.

According to authorities, six fire brigade vehicles and four PDMA trucks were involved in extinguishing the fire, with fireballs used to control the flames.

The plaza houses shops of various types, including computers, mobile phones, and garments.

The Chief Fire Officer stated that the fire was caused by a short circuit. The flames also affected a nearby electric transformer and wires, which made firefighting efforts more challenging.
