MUZAFFARGARH: A resident of Muzaffargarh has claimed that he received 105 traffic challans worth Rs210,000 for allegedly riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet, despite saying he had sold the vehicle before it was registered in his name.

According to the citizen, he sold the unregistered motorcycle to a showroom in December 2024. He alleged that the showroom owner later managed to have the motorcycle registered in his name through unlawful means.

The complainant said that 105 traffic challans had been issued against the motorcycle from August 2025 onward. He added that he only became aware the vehicle was registered in his name after the traffic fines began arriving.

The citizen has submitted an application to the police, alleging illegal registration of the motorcycle and seeking legal action against the showroom owner.

Police officials confirmed that an investigation has been initiated into the complaint and said the matter is currently under inquiry.
