Rawalpindi: A team of senior doctors has completed the eye examination of Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, after which the medical team departed from the prison premises.

According to sources, the examination lasted nearly one hour and was conducted under the supervision of experienced specialists. The medical team included Dr. Farooq, Dr. Sikandar, and Dr. Arif, along with technical staff. The doctors brought specialized ophthalmic equipment and necessary medicines to carry out a detailed assessment.

Sources further stated that the medical report will be compiled the same day and submitted to the government. The findings are expected to address concerns regarding Khan’s eye health and overall medical condition.

It was also reported that the medical team waited for approximately two and a half hours for members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership to arrive at the jail. However, no party leader reached the facility, after which the doctors proceeded with the examination.

The development comes after the Supreme Court of Pakistan directed authorities to submit a medical report regarding Khan’s health before February 16. Security around Adiala Jail was tightened when an ambulance from Holy Family Hospital entered the premises through Gate No. 5 to facilitate the medical visit.

Earlier, the federal government had formed a two-member medical board from Al-Shifa Eye Hospital to examine Khan’s eyes. Meanwhile, the opposition alliance has expressed serious concerns about his health and demanded his transfer to a hospital, even announcing plans to protest at Parliament House if the transfer does not take place.
