Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Army team has once again brought pride to the nation by winning a Gold Medal in the Cambrian Patrol Exercise 2025, one of the world’s toughest international military competitions.

According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the prestigious military exercise took place in Wales, United Kingdom, from October 3 to 13, 2025. The Cambrian Patrol is recognized globally as one of the most demanding tests of military endurance, leadership, and tactical skill.

Teams from around the world participated in the exercise, navigating through rugged and challenging terrain under strict time constraints. Each team was required to cover a 60-kilometer distance within 48 hours, carrying full combat gear while performing a variety of military tasks including reconnaissance, navigation, obstacle crossing, casualty evacuation, and combat drills under simulated operational conditions.

This year, a total of 137 teams from 36 countries took part in the competition, representing the best of their respective armed forces.

The Pakistan Army team, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, demonstrated exceptional professionalism, physical endurance, and tactical brilliance, earning the coveted Gold Medal for their outstanding performance among elite global participants.

ISPR noted that this achievement reflects the Pakistan Army’s superior training standards, discipline, and unwavering commitment to excellence. It further stated:

“This victory is a matter of immense pride for the entire nation and the Pakistan Army. Our troops have once again proven their professional competence, resilience, and dedication to keeping the national flag flying high.”

The Cambrian Patrol, often referred to as the “Olympics of Military Patrolling,” has been organized annually by the British Army since 1959, attracting top military units from across the world.

Pakistan’s consistent performance in the event over the years — having won multiple gold medals in previous editions — continues to reinforce its reputation as one of the most capable and professionally trained armies in the world.

Through this success, the Pakistan Army has once again demonstrated that its soldiers possess not only the technical expertise and tactical acumen but also the spirit, determination, and courage that define true military excellence.
