Badin: Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ will be celebrated across Badin district with great religious fervour, enthusiasm and devotion, while all necessary arrangements have been completed and security will be provided to processions and gatherings with the assistance of Rangers and police.

This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Badin Yasir Bhatti while addressing a meeting with religious scholars of the district at the Darbar Hall.

The deputy commissioner said that the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were the best example and a guiding light for all Muslims. He said the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal was particularly significant because it marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), making it a highly respected month for Muslims.

During the meeting, religious scholars raised a number of complaints, with most concerns relating to the Badin Municipal Committee and Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO).

Deputy Commissioner Yasir Bhatti assured the scholars that all legitimate issues would be addressed. He directed Badin Municipal Committee Vice Chairman Ali Akbar Memon to resolve public grievances and provide relief to citizens, noting that complaints against the municipal committee were increasing.

He instructed local government authorities, municipal committees and town committees to ensure that the routes of Milad processions were properly cleaned. Standing water along the routes should be drained immediately, while major intersections in the cities should be illuminated.

The deputy commissioner also directed the Health Department to remain on high alert during the Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ celebrations. He said that 52 ambulances were available across Badin district and medicines were also available in sufficient quantities. He stressed that there should be no complaints regarding healthcare facilities during the celebrations.

Security Arrangements Completed

SSP Badin Qamar Raza Jiskani said that all security arrangements had been completed for the celebrations.

He said providing security to religious gatherings and processions was not only a duty of the police but also a form of service and worship for them.

He warned that hostile elements were always looking for opportunities to disrupt peace and stressed the importance of discipline and vigilance. He urged citizens to keep an eye on suspicious individuals and immediately report any unusual activity.

Addressing the religious scholars, the SSP appealed to them to ensure that no one’s sentiments were hurt during speeches at religious gatherings and processions.

He said love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was an essential part of faith and that every procession or gathering, whether small or large, was equally important to the administration. He assured the participants that all such events would be provided full security and said a comprehensive security plan had already been prepared.

SSP Jiskani also directed the scholars to strictly comply with the Loudspeaker Act during Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ programmes. He said display of weapons was completely prohibited and urged everyone to strictly follow all government-issued security instructions.

He emphasized that these measures were being taken for the safety and protection of everyone participating in the celebrations.
