Naushehro Feroze, September 17, 2025 — A distraught woman, Anita Aisha, arrived at the local press club today carrying a copy of the Holy Qur’an and tearfully appealed to the media and law-enforcement authorities for protection and justice. Anita accused her former husband — identified as a police officer, Allah Bakhsh — along with other local actors, of harassing her and forcing her and two relatives from family land, and said that repeated police interference has left her desperate and without any support.

Speaking in public, Anita described a sequence of events that she says began after her marriage ended three years ago. “Three years ago he gave me a divorce,” she told reporters. “After that, he remained living with his sons and Laila in Tharro Shah, and they expelled us from the house. Now they accuse us of killing Asad Amin and say the place belongs to them.” Anita said she, her sister and another relative — named Laili and Sikandar in her account — were taken to the local police station one night after being told to vacate the property. She alleged that at the station she and her relatives were pressured and blamed for crimes they did not commit.
