Sukkur: Assistant Commissioner Bushra Mansoor carried out strict enforcement action against several meat shop owners for violating government regulations related to hygiene, pricing, and illegal slaughtering practices.

The operation took place near Shikarpur Phatak, where the assistant commissioner conducted a surprise inspection of meat shops accompanied by a veterinary doctor. During the visit, authorities carefully examined the cleanliness conditions, official price lists, and overall hygiene standards at the shops.

Officials found multiple violations during the inspection. Some shopkeepers were selling meat at prices higher than the government-approved rates, while others had poor sanitation arrangements that posed potential health risks to consumers. In addition, several vendors were found slaughtering animals on the roadside, which is prohibited under municipal and health regulations.

Following the inspection, Assistant Commissioner Bushra Mansoor imposed financial penalties on several shopkeepers who were found violating the rules. The action was taken to ensure compliance with official standards and to protect public health.

Speaking during the operation, the assistant commissioner directed all meat sellers to strictly follow government-issued standard operating procedures (SOPs). She emphasized that meat must be sold only at official prices and that proper hygiene must be maintained at all times.

Bushra Mansoor also warned that the law applies equally to everyone, and authorities will not tolerate violations. She further stated that daily surprise inspections will continue to ensure that shopkeepers comply with regulations.

According to the assistant commissioner, maintaining cleanliness in meat shops and preventing overpricing is essential to safeguard public health and consumer rights. She made it clear that no vendor will be allowed to compromise on hygiene standards or exploit customers by charging excessive prices.
