On behalf of Silsilawar Adab Magazine, a series of mourning events in memory of the martyrs of Karbala has begun across Sindh under the title of Azadari-e-Imam Hasan (A.S.). According to the Islamic calendar, the month of Muharram marks the beginning of the Islamic year. The month of Dhul-Hijjah is considered the last month of the Islamic calendar. These views were expressed by renowned writer and author Riaz Umrani while explaining the significance of the first of Muharram.
Starting from the night of the first of Muharram, the flag of Hazrat Abbas Alamdar begins to be raised. In every Imambargah, such as Jagir Shahzada Ali Akbar Tando Allahyar and Imambargah Hazrat Sakhi Moj Darya Tando Allahyar, hundreds of sacred flags are hoisted.

The flag of Islam is the flag of Ghazi Abbas. During the era of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in battles like Khaybar, Khandaq, and Uhud, the flag was entrusted to Hazrat Ali (A.S.). After him, it was passed to Hazrat Abbas Alamdar. After his martyrdom, the flag was handed over to Lady Zainab (S.A.). This is the same sacred flag known today as Alam-e-Pak.
