Pakistan Women Fined for Slow Over-Rate Against India in T20 World Cup

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed a fine on the Pakistan women’s cricket team for maintaining a slow over-rate in their match against India during the Women’s T20 World Cup.

According to the ICC, Pakistan were found to be one over short of the required quota within the stipulated time during the match.

As a result, match officials imposed a penalty of 5 percent of the team’s match fee on the Pakistan side.

The ICC stated that the sanction was applied in accordance with the code of conduct rules governing over-rate offences in international cricket.

The match against India had earlier drawn significant attention, and the latest development adds to Pakistan’s on-field disciplinary concerns in the tournament.
