Sukkur Police Continues Successful Operations Against Social Evils
Following the strict directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sukkur, Mr. Azhar Khan, law enforcement in Sukkur continues its proactive campaign against individuals involved in drug trafficking and other social crimes. The police have arrested four suspects during a series of targeted operations in various localities of the district.

Outstanding Performance by Rohri Police

In a commendable operation, Rohri Police, under the leadership of Station House Officer (SHO) Rohri, conducted successful raids at different points within their jurisdiction. As a result of these operations, three suspects involved in the possession and sale of illegal narcotics were apprehended.

The arrested suspects were identified as Muhammad Fayaz Sheikh, Rahib Ali, and Subbo Sheikh. Upon searching the accused, police recovered a significant quantity of narcotics, including:

• 4,000 grams of hashish (charas)
• Four packets of banned Gutka

All three suspects have been formally charged under relevant sections of the Narcotics Act, and investigations are underway to determine the extent of their involvement in local and intercity drug distribution networks.

The Rohri Police operation is being hailed as a major success in the fight against drug abuse and illegal substance distribution. The quick and professional action taken has been appreciated by community members and senior law enforcement officials alike.

Effective Snap Checking by SITE Police

In another important development, SITE Police Sukkur under SHO Site carried out an intelligent snap checking operation within their designated area. During the check, a suspected drug dealer named Abdul Razzaq Khoso was apprehended.

Upon searching the suspect, the police recovered:

• 5,270 grams of hashish (charas)

The SITE Police immediately registered a case under Section 9(3) of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), and further legal proceedings are underway.

The arrest is seen as a strategic success, especially in an area known for occasional drug transit. According to the police, this action is part of a larger surveillance effort being undertaken to monitor potential drug routes and eliminate narcotics suppliers from the region.

Praise from SSP Sukkur

SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan has personally acknowledged and commended the efforts of both Rohri and SITE police teams for their dedication, swift action, and professional conduct in executing these critical operations. In a message shared with the force, SSP Azhar Khan expressed his satisfaction with the progress being made in curbing social crimes and reiterated that the crackdown against such criminal activities would continue without compromise.

He emphasized that the district police remain committed to ensuring peace and safety in all urban and rural areas of Sukkur and would not tolerate any individuals or groups threatening social stability through drug-related or criminal behavior.

Ongoing Campaign and Public Awareness

These actions are part of a broader strategy being implemented across Sukkur District. Police authorities have increased patrolling, intelligence sharing, and surprise checks at sensitive spots, especially near schools, public transport hubs, and known hotspots for criminal activity.

The police department has also called upon citizens to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activity or individuals in their neighborhoods. According to officials, such public cooperation plays a vital role in timely interventions and long-term success of anti-crime campaigns.

Meanwhile, community outreach initiatives are also being planned, including awareness drives about the dangers of drug use, especially targeting the youth population, who are often the most vulnerable.

Conclusion

With the successful arrest of four key suspects and the seizure of over 9 kilograms of hashish, along with Gutka packets, the Sukkur Police have once again proven their resolve and efficiency in fighting crime and ensuring public safety. These operations not only disrupt the local drug supply chain but also send a strong message to those involved in illegal activities: Sukkur Police is vigilant, prepared, and committed to upholding the law.

The efforts of officers from Rohri and SITE police stations set a high standard in professionalism and community protection, and such examples of good policing continue to reinforce public trust in law enforcement.
