Tehran: Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned that any increase in pressure on Iran will lead to an even stronger response from the country.

In a statement issued in Tehran, President Pezeshkian said that the more pressure imposed on Iran, the tougher the reaction will be. He emphasized that Iran will never bow to intimidation, injustice, or aggression.

The Iranian president stated that his country remains determined to defend its sovereignty and national interests. “Iran will never surrender to threats or coercion,” he said, adding that the country is fully prepared to respond firmly to any hostile actions.

Pezeshkian also stressed that Iran seeks friendly relations with neighboring countries in the region. However, he clarified that this desire for regional cooperation does not mean Iran will abandon its right to self-defense, particularly in the face of pressure or confrontation involving the United States.

Referring to recent developments in the region, the Iranian president said that Iran’s actions were directed against American military bases rather than neighboring states. He explained that the targets included U.S. military installations and facilities in the region, reiterating Iran’s position that its actions were part of its defensive strategy.

The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where geopolitical rivalries and military activities have increased uncertainty. Iran has repeatedly stated that while it prefers diplomacy and cooperation with regional countries, it will respond strongly to any aggression or external pressure.

President Pezeshkian concluded by warning that Iran is capable of turning the ambitions of its adversaries into “nightmares,” signaling the country’s readiness to confront challenges while continuing to pursue stable relations with neighboring states.
