U.S. President: “Will Lift Sanctions on Iran at the Right Time”
U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the Israel-Iran war is over and that sanctions on Iran will be lifted at the appropriate time.
Speaking during a dinner at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump once again claimed that the U.S. had destroyed three of Iran’s nuclear facilities.
He stated, “The war between Israel and Iran is over. Hopefully, there will be no need for another attack on Iran. We’ve scheduled negotiations with Iran and will lift sanctions at the right time.”
Trump also claimed that Hamas has expressed a desire for a ceasefire in Gaza, saying, “Hamas wants a ceasefire in Gaza.”
When asked about the two-state solution, Trump responded, “I don’t know, ask Netanyahu,” to which the Israeli Prime Minister reiterated his opposition.
Israel Willing to Vacate Gaza-Held Areas
On the issue of relocating Palestinian citizens to other countries, Trump said that Israel has received strong cooperation from neighboring nations and that many joint successes have been achieved with Israel, which will lead to even more in the future.
Trump also expressed dissatisfaction with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that he is unhappy because Russia has not ended the war with Ukraine.
He further announced the delivery of more weapons to Ukraine and revealed that the U.S. is close to finalizing a trade agreement with India. “We’ve prevented many wars around the world, including stopping a war between Pakistan and India through trade,” Trump added.
