Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rain in the upper and central parts of the country from August 13 to 15. Met Department claimed that the rain is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from the evening or night of August 13 until August 15.

Islamabad, Rawalpindi and the Potohar region are also expected to receive rain during the same period.

According to the department, Bahawalpur, Khanpur and Multan may experience strong winds and thundershowers during the next three to five hours. Strong winds and thunderstorms are also very much expected in Dera Ghazi Khan, Zhob, Barkhan and Musakhail, while rain is likely in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar and in northeastern Punjab as well.

The Met Department said partly cloudy weather would forecast in southeastern and coastal areas of Sindh.

The department alerted on possibility of urban flooding in low lying areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mardan, Swabi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot and Lahore. 

Landslides are also possible in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galiyat and Kashmir. The department advised tourists and travellers to remain cautious from August 13 to 15 and requested farmers to plan agricultural activities according to the weather conditions.

All concerned agencies are advised to stay alerted and take necessary measures.
