Khairpur: The Sindh government has approved Rs 70 million for the treatment of PPP MPA and landlord Naeem Kharal, elected from the constituency of GIMS Hospital in Gambat, for his liver transplant abroad. MPA Naeem Kharal will travel overseas for treatment.

The Sindh government has granted approval to release Rs 70 million for the liver transplant treatment of Naeem Ahmed Kharal, who is elected from Gambat, and he will undergo the procedure abroad. After the issuance of this letter, intellectuals from Sindh and Khairpur have criticized the move, saying that while PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has declared Gambat’s GIMS Hospital as a “health hub,” party MPAs and elected representatives themselves do not trust the hospital’s administration. This is why they secure funds from the Sindh government to seek treatment abroad.

They questioned why, if the Sindh government and GIMS administration claim that even foreigners come to GIMS for treatment, Naeem Kharal is being sent abroad for his medical care. They argue that this decision essentially admits that quality healthcare facilities do not exist at GIMS Hospital Gambat.

Intellectuals further stated that from the Prime Minister down to members of the provincial assembly, everyone seeks treatment abroad, indicating a double standard in critical sectors like health and education.

Meanwhile, sources confirm that MPA Naeem Ahmed Kharal has already departed abroad for his liver transplant, where his treatment will take place.
