10th Muharram-ul-Haram 1447 Hijri

The central mourning procession will commence from the central Imambargah in Sukkur and, passing through various streets and areas of the city, will return to the central Imambargah.

DIG Sukkur Range, Captain (R) Faisal Abdullah Chachar, is personally monitoring all security arrangements.

On the occasion of Youm-e-Ashura, three major processions will be taken out from Sukkur, Rohri, and Pano Aqil. In addition, 43 small and large processions and 80 majalis (gatherings) will be held across Sukkur district. For their security, more than 4,000 male and female police personnel, Rangers, and three army companies will remain on standby.

The central procession is being monitored from start to finish through an established Command and Control Room.

Senior officers are present on the routes of the processions, at the locations of majalis, and other key points, where they are briefing officers and personnel, and maintaining contact with procession and majalis organizers.

Heavy police deployment has been made at procession routes and majalis locations across various areas of Sukkur Range.

Police officers, personnel, lady constables, intelligence staff, bomb disposal squad, and other relevant units are actively deployed to ensure the security of processions and majalis on the 10th of Muharram.

Senior officers are not only monitoring the security plan on-site but are also ensuring the effectiveness and vigilance of all deployed personnel.

Alternative traffic routes have been arranged for the 10th Muharram processions, and traffic police officers and personnel are deployed alongside West Zone Police to maintain smooth traffic flow on the main routes.

Full protection is being provided to participants of the 10th Muharram processions, and all available resources are being utilized to maintain peace and order.
