Tel Aviv (Monday, June 24, 2025) – Just moments before the ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, Iran fired missiles at Israel, resulting in the deaths of 4 Israelis and injuries to at least 9 others.

According to the international news agency AFP, Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom confirmed that 3 people were killed on the spot when Iranian missiles struck the southern Israeli city of Be’er Sheva. Two injured individuals were taken to the hospital, while six others received medical treatment at the scene.

Israeli media reported that air raid sirens went off five times within an hour, and several residential areas were targeted. The missile attack also caused severe damage to buildings.

According to Iranian state media, the operation was carried out at a time when President Trump had just announced a phased ceasefire between the two countries. Iran fired at least five missiles at Israel before the ceasefire came into effect. Tensions between Israel and Iran have escalated sharply, and this incident could further complicate the chances of a ceasefire.
