Jamshoro: Looni Kot Police arrested a suspect and seized a large quantity of material allegedly used in the preparation of mainpuri and gutka during a crackdown on harmful and illegal substances.

The operation was carried out on the special directives of SSP Jamshoro Zafar Siddiq Chhanga as part of an ongoing district-wide campaign against narcotics and hazardous products. The raid was conducted under the supervision of DSP Nooriabad Kaleemullah Soomro and led by SHO Looni Kot Ghulam Hussain Solangi along with his police team.

According to police, the team intercepted a dumper truck (registration No. TKE-511) on the motorway near the United Afridi Petrol Pump while it was traveling from Karachi to Hyderabad. During the search, officers recovered a large quantity of material allegedly used in the manufacture of mainpuri and gutka.

The driver, Jibran Khan, son of Muhammad Hussain Pathan and a resident of Sohrab Goth, Karachi, was arrested at the scene.

Police registered FIR No. 26/2026 at Looni Kot Police Station under Section 8 of the Mainpuri and Gutka Prohibition Act, and further investigation is underway.

Jamshoro Police reaffirmed its commitment to continuing indiscriminate action against those involved in the production, transportation, and sale of products harmful to public health.
