Sukkur (Press Release): In an effort to enhance traffic flow and address difficulties faced by citizens, an effective anti-encroachment operation was conducted today in the Ghanta Ghar area of Sukkur. The operation was led by Municipal Commissioner Pir Wahid Bakhsh, with officers and staff from various relevant departments present on-site.

Assistant Commissioner Sarah Faraz, Executive Director of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board Ejaz Palh, Executive Engineer of M&E Fawad Babak, and Anti-Encroachment Officer Bilawal Korai also supervised the operation. Inspectors from the Anti-Encroachment Department, including Adnan Memon, Sohail Altaf Sheikh, Sohail Memon, Afzal Channa, and Jeend Sheikh, participated actively. Police personnel were deployed to ensure law and order during the operation. Representatives from local markets also participated and collaborated with the administration.

The operation aimed to remove illegal encroachments on roads and footpaths that were obstructing traffic and causing difficulties for citizens. In addition, measures were taken against illegal and improper parking, which was disrupting the traffic system. During the operation, unlawfully placed items were seized, warnings were issued to responsible individuals, and challans were also being issued for violations of rules and regulations.

The administration emphasized that such operations will continue in a consistent and impartial manner to maintain public convenience, traffic discipline, and overall city order.

Municipal Commissioner Pir Wahid Bakhsh urged citizens and the business community to comply with laws, avoid encroachments, and refrain from illegal parking to ensure smoother traffic flow and improved public convenience in the city.
