Hyderabad: Several Villages Submerged and Farmland Destroyed After Breach in New Phuleli Canal

Hyderabad (Report: – A major breach occurred near village Noorai Sharif at RD 122R of the New Phuleli Canal due to increasing water pressure.

As a result of the breach, several villages including Noorai Sharif, Kamoon Qambrani, Kamdar Mallah, and Long Mallah have been affected.

According to villagers, hundreds of acres of fertile land have been submerged, and crops, fields, and homes have suffered severe damage.

Farmers and villagers in the affected areas are left helpless and without assistance.

The locals claim that despite repeatedly informing the Irrigation Department, the breach was not repaired, which they say reflects the department’s negligence.

So far, no action or aid has been provided by the administration or the irrigation department.

Villagers have demanded immediate repair of the breach, diversion of the water flow, and steps for the rehabilitation of the affected people to prevent further damage.
