Iran Continues Missile and Drone Attacks on Israel – Haifa Refinery Shut Down, 3 Israelis Killed, Dozens Injured

Tel Aviv (Tuesday, June 17, 2025): Iran has launched its fourth wave of missile and drone attacks targeting the Israeli capital Tel Aviv and the city of Haifa, triggering air raid sirens across several regions.

According to Iranian media, the Ramat David Airbase in Haifa was specifically targeted. Meanwhile, Israel has also launched fresh strikes on Tehran in response. Following the Iranian assault, the Haifa oil refinery was completely shut down, and three Israeli workers were killed in the attack.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, General Ali Mohammad, stated that this was the ninth wave of Operation Wa’ad-e-Sadiq III and that operations would continue into the morning. “We will not allow the enemy even a moment of peace,” he declared.

Earlier, Iran’s National Security Council had warned that the fourth day of this escalation would be extremely dangerous, promising that Israel would experience “daylight during the night.”

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged both Tehran residents and Israeli citizens in Tel Aviv to evacuate immediately, while announcing massive retaliatory attacks.

In a separate strike earlier in the morning, Iran fired dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel, reducing several buildings to rubble. That attack reportedly killed 9 Israelis and injured over 300. One of the main targets in the latest assault was the Haifa power plant, where Iranian missile strikes caused a large fire to break out.
