What Made the West Indies vs Australia Test Unique After 115 Years?

In the Kingston Test between West Indies and Australia, only 1,045 balls were bowled across all four innings — the fewest in a four-innings Test match since 1910.

Remarkably, no batter from either side managed to score a half-century, which has only occurred 16 times in Test history where at least two full innings were played.

The series also set a record for the lowest highest individual score since 1888, with Brandon King scoring just 75 runs — the most by any player in the three-match series.

Mitchell Starc continued to make history by taking a wicket in the first over of a Test match for the 23rd time — a new record. In the second innings, he dismissed three West Indies batters in the opening overs.

Starc also set the record for the fastest five-wicket haul in an innings, claiming 5 wickets in just 15 deliveries. Additionally, he reached the milestone of 400 wickets in his 100th Test match.
