A 10-member Uzbek media delegation has arrived in Pakistan on a seven-day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, media cooperation and people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

The delegation is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of the Government of Pakistan and includes prominent television personalities, digital content creators, YouTubers, influencers and social media figures from Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the delegation will meet representatives of various public and private sector organisations and receive briefings on Pakistan’s progress and achievements in different sectors.

The visiting media figures will also be given firsthand exposure to Pakistan’s evolving media landscape, including the role of television, digital platforms and social media in shaping public narratives, projecting the country’s image and contributing to socio-economic development.

The visit will also explore prospects for deeper media cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, including opportunities for exchanging content, professional experiences and best practices.

Members of the delegation are expected to share their observations and experiences with audiences in Uzbekistan through television, digital platforms and social media.

As part of the visit, the Uzbek delegation will tour cultural, historical and tourist sites in Murree, Taxila and Lahore, besides visiting prominent landmarks in Islamabad.

The delegation will visit Taxila to learn about its ancient civilisation and archaeological heritage, while in Lahore it will explore the city’s historical and architectural landmarks.

The visiting media figures will also visit Faisal Mosque in Islamabad and observe its distinctive architectural design.

Officials said the visit was part of broader efforts to promote mutual understanding between the peoples of Pakistan and Uzbekistan through media interaction, cultural exchanges and tourism.

The initiative is also aimed at showcasing Pakistan’s cultural heritage, tourism potential, economic progress and modern development to audiences in Uzbekistan.

The visit is expected to create new opportunities for cooperation between the media communities of the two countries and further strengthen Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations through closer people-to-people contacts.
