Hyderabad, July 4: Government College University (GCU) Hyderabad successfully conducted a written examination on Saturday for the recruitment of Lecturers (BPS-17) at its constituent institution, Government College Hyderabad. The test was held in a transparent, peaceful, and well-organized environment.

A total of 1,500 candidates appeared in the examination for vacancies in various disciplines, including English, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Sindhi, Urdu, Pakistan Studies, and Islamic Studies.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Moazzam Ali Khan said the written examination was conducted successfully in accordance with the university’s recruitment policy, ensuring complete transparency and merit. He appreciated the efforts of the administrative committees, supervisory staff, and all officers and employees involved in organizing the examination. He added that all appointments would be made strictly on merit and in line with the prescribed recruitment procedures.

Director Human Resources Najamuddin Sohoo said the written examination was completed smoothly. He informed that the results would be announced soon on the university’s official website, while the subsequent stages of the recruitment process would also be carried out according to the university’s established policy.
