Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide will arrive in Pakistan tomorrow (Thursday) for a two-day official visit, during which the two sides will exchange views on matters of mutual interest and explore cooperation in key sectors.

During the visit, the Norwegian foreign minister will hold delegation-level talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The discussions will focus on trade, investment and renewable energy, according to a Foreign Office spokesperson.

The two sides will also exchange views on climate change, education and the promotion of people-to-people contacts, the spokesperson said.

The talks are also expected to cover key regional and global issues, with progress on these matters likely to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and mutual interests, according to the Foreign Office.

The visit will provide an opportunity further to strengthen the longstanding friendly ties between Pakistan and Norway and to explore new areas of cooperation in the mutual interest of both countries, the spokesperson added.
