The conflict between Israel and Iran is escalating following reciprocal attacks. Following Iran’s firing of nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel last night, the Israeli government granted permission for air operations. In the latest Israeli assault, two more Iranian generals, three nuclear scientists, and 65 Iranian civilians, including 20 children, were killed.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed they attacked Iran’s Isfahan nuclear site, destroying key facilities and laboratories. The IDF also stated that visible activities in Isfahan indicated Iran was enriching uranium for weapons purposes, that the route to Tehran had been “cleared,” and that Israeli air forces were now ready to operate freely within Iranian airspace.

Israel will continue to target specific objectives. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Iran’s Supreme Leader that if missile attacks on Israel continued, Tehran would be reduced to dust. During a strategic meeting with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, Mossad Director David Barnea, and other top military officials, it was stated that the Iranian leadership was using its own civilians as human shields and creating a situation in which particularly Tehran’s residents would bear the heavy price for criminal attacks on Israeli citizens.

According to Fars News Agency, two missiles struck Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport, and Iranian media reported fires at the site. The airport is near key Iranian leadership locations and hosts both combat and transport aircraft.

Iran has announced the closure of its airspace until further notice and warned that countries supporting Israel, including U.S. military bases, could also be targeted.

According to the Israeli military, air and naval forces destroyed several Iranian drones. Two rockets were fired from Gaza, but they landed in open fields and caused no damage.

Iranian state media reported that 60 civilians, including 20 children, were killed in the latest Israeli strikes on Tehran.

Earlier reports had suggested that Israel, after being accused of imposing war on Iran, hesitated to retaliate. However, Israeli forces continued bombing various cities in Iran on the following day. Fires and bloodshed were seen in many areas, including military camps in Mehrabad Airport and Zanjan. According to Iranian news agencies, a military base in Kermanshah province in western Iran also experienced an explosion. AFP reported, citing Iranian state TV, that two senior Iranian generals were martyred in the Israeli attack, while Israel continues its assaults on Iran’s military and nuclear capabilities. Reuters also reported, quoting Tasnim News Agency, that three more Iranian nuclear scientists were martyred in the Israeli strike.

The spokesperson of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization stated that the Israeli attack did not cause significant damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow and Isfahan. Critical equipment had been relocated in advance based on prior warnings.

Iran’s Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, located in the mountains near the city of Qom, is equipped with advanced centrifuges for high-level uranium enrichment.

According to BBC, videos and reports suggest that a radar site in the Vardavard area was targeted. Other radar sites were reportedly hit as well, including one in southern Iran’s Abdanan region. Explosions were also heard in the Hakimiya and Tehran Pars areas of eastern Tehran, according to Iranian media.

4. Iron Beam – This is a high-powered laser system designed to destroy rockets, drones, and anti-tank missiles. It was first deployed in 2023 following Hamas attacks on southern Israel.
