Hyderabad: Agham Kot will witness its central annual majlis-e-aza in commemoration of the martyrdom of the seventh Imam, Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.), on Thursday, 15th January 2026. The event will be held at Roza-e-Athar Masooma-e-Sindh Syeda Khadija Mahum (A.S.) and organized by the Zaireen Khidmat Committee under the supervision of Syed Manzar Naqvi.

The program will commence at 11:00 AM and continue until late at night. The majlis for women will feature sermons and recitations by various Zakir scholars, while the men’s majlis will include speeches by prominent religious figures such as Allama Ayaz Ali Qomi, Syed Gohar Abbas Naqvi, and other scholars and reciters.

Renowned Noha Khwans including Mir Imdad Ali Piral Talpur, Agha Syed Mehr Ali Shah, Syed Ali Raza Shah Kazmi, Agha Arslan Mirza, and Saleem Raza Sehr will perform traditional elegies (Noha and Soz Khwani) during the majlis.

After the main majlis, a ceremonial procession (Salana Taboot) will take place, accompanied by Noha recitations and mourning rituals, reflecting the deep reverence and devotion of the attendees.

The annual majlis is expected to draw a large gathering of mourners from across Sindh, making it one of the most significant religious commemorations in the region. The observance will continue through the night, maintaining a spiritual and solemn atmosphere of remembrance and devotion.

This yearly event in Agham Kot stands as a central occasion for the local Shia community to honor the sacrifices of Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.) and engage in collective mourning and reflection.
