WhatsApp Will Now Allow Resending of Unsent Messages

WhatsApp is introducing a new and useful feature aimed at helping users easily find, complete, and send messages that were left unsent.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, this new feature will be especially helpful in situations where a user starts typing a message in a chat but forgets to send it or gets distracted by another task.

WhatsApp is now introducing a new filter to identify and reuse such “draft” messages.

Currently, users have to scan their entire chat list to find unsent messages, which can be quite tedious—especially for those who have many chats on WhatsApp.

The new “Draft” filter will be located alongside other filters such as “Unread”, “Groups”, and “All”. It will display all the messages that were typed but not sent in any chat.

The report mentions that the Draft filter will be a preset option, meaning users won’t need to set it manually, as WhatsApp will enable it automatically. However, users will have the option to disable the Draft filter if they choose.

This feature is currently being tested in the latest Android beta version of WhatsApp and is expected to be rolled out to users worldwide soon.
