Mardan: Three people, including a husband, wife, and daughter-in-law, were killed when armed assailants opened fire inside a house in the Khanakhandarai area of Mardan.

According to police, the incident was a targeted attack in which armed men entered a residence and opened fire, killing three members of the same family on the spot.

Police confirmed that the victims included a married couple and their daughter-in-law. Preliminary findings suggest that the attack stemmed from an ongoing land dispute between the parties.

Law enforcement officials said that the attackers fled the scene after the shooting, and a search operation has been launched to arrest those involved.

Police further stated that evidence has been collected from the crime scene and investigations are underway from multiple angles to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Authorities have vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible, while tensions remain high in the area following the tragic incident.
