Islamabad: Two Women Killed as Car Collides with Scooter on Shahrah-e-Dastoor

In a tragic road accident on Shahrah-e-Dastoor in Islamabad, two women lost their lives when a speeding car collided with their scooter. The incident occurred near Secretariat Chowk, one of the busiest intersections in the capital, highlighting the persistent risks posed by traffic violations and reckless driving in urban areas. The victims, identified as Samreen and Tabinda, were reportedly returning home together when the unfortunate collision took place.

According to police sources, the accident unfolded when the car struck the scooter, causing both women to be thrown onto the road. Immediate assistance from bystanders and traffic authorities followed, but unfortunately, both women succumbed to their injuries before reaching medical care. The gravity of the incident has left the local community in shock and raised serious concerns about road safety on major thoroughfares in Islamabad.

An FIR has been registered at the Secretariat Police Station, with the complaint lodged by Samreen’s brother. The FIR details that the women were returning home from an outing when a call to the family confirmed that an accident had occurred. Upon reaching the hospital, the family was confronted with the tragic news that both women had passed away, a devastating blow for relatives and friends.
