Air India Passenger Plane Crash Death Toll Reaches 279
New Delhi (): The death toll in the Air India passenger plane crash in the Indian city of Ahmedabad has reached 279.
According to foreign media, police sources said on Saturday that 279 bodies have been recovered from the crash site. The aircraft had a total of 242 people on board, including crew and passengers, of which only one passenger survived.
The plane crashed into a medical hostel building, resulting in the deaths of an additional 38 people present there.
