Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has summoned the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-N Azad Kashmir and all ticket holders to Lahore for an important consultative meeting on the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, sources said.

The meeting will be held at 8 Club Road, Lahore, at 11am on Tuesday.

Sources said the central leadership of PML-N Azad Kashmir and party candidates had been formally informed about the meeting.

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam will also attend the meeting, sources said.

The meeting will discuss the party’s strategy for the upcoming Azad Kashmir elections, including the election campaign, organisational matters and the future course of action for candidates.

Maryam Nawaz is expected to give instructions and suggestions to the party leadership and candidates regarding election preparations.

Sources said the PML-N Azad Kashmir leadership would reach Lahore tonight to attend the meeting.

The meeting will also review the political situation in all constituencies of Azad Kashmir and discuss coordination among candidates and party organisations.

Party sources said the leadership would consider steps to make the PML-N organisation in Azad Kashmir more effective ahead of the polls.

Important decisions are expected regarding the campaign strategy, candidate coordination and future political planning.

Sources said the meeting was expected to help the party move toward finalising its election strategy for the upcoming Azad Kashmir elections.
