Chairman Manghopir Town Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi Takes Emergency Action on Sewerage Line Collapse

Due to the collapse of a sewerage line in Saima Arabian Villas, located within the jurisdiction of Manghopir Town, residents of the area were facing severe difficulties and distress. As the sewage disposal system was completely disrupted, not only was daily life of the public badly affected, but serious risks related to environmental pollution, foul odor, and public health had also emerged, making immediate attention inevitable. Considering the seriousness of the situation, Chairman Manghopir Town, Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, took immediate notice of public complaints and conducted a detailed, emergency, and on-site visit to the affected location. During the visit, the Chairman carefully inspected the deteriorated, worn-out, and non-functional condition of the sewerage line and received a comprehensive briefing from the concerned municipal and technical officers. After completing the inspection, the Chairman issued clear and firm directives for the immediate replacement of the damaged and obsolete sewerage line. He instructed that the work be initiated on an emergency basis without any delay and completed within the stipulated timeframe. He emphasized that quality, durability, modern technical standards, and the future needs of the growing population must be strictly ensured during the construction work so that such a situation does not recur in the future. On this occasion, Municipal Commissioner Manghopir Town Ahmed Yar and Vice Chairman Manghopir Town Rana Muhammad Arif were also present, while officers and field staff of the relevant departments presented technical details regarding the causes of the sewerage line failure, weaknesses in the existing system, and the proposed solutions. The residents of the area appreciated the timely visit, on-site presence, and prompt decisions of the Chairman Manghopir Town. They expressed satisfaction and confidence and hoped that after the replacement of the sewerage line, this long-standing issue would be resolved on a permanent basis, providing them with a clean and safe environment. In conclusion, the Chairman Manghopir Town strictly instructed the concerned officers to ensure continuous, effective, and transparent monitoring of the work and made it clear that any negligence or delay in addressing public issues would not be tolerated, as serving the public and resolving their problems in a timely manner is the top priority of the town administration.
