The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has decided not to send team manager Anjum Saeed to Australia with the national team. Head coach Tahir Zaman will serve as the camp commandant.

Sources said that due to a violation of discipline, the PHF has decided that manager Anjum Saeed will not travel to Australia.

During the tour of Australia, head coach Tahir Zaman will also assume the responsibilities of team manager and camp commandant. Anjum Saeed will remain part of the setup but will not accompany the team on the Australia tour.

According to sources, after the first phase of the Pro Hockey League, Anjum Saeed allegedly smoked on the aircraft while returning from Argentina. He did not return to Pakistan with the team and was reportedly stopped in Brazil.

Anjum Saeed had denied the allegation of smoking on the plane.

The second phase of the Pro Hockey League will take place in Hobart, Australia, from February 10 to 15. In the second phase, host Australia will face Pakistan and Germany.

To prepare for the Pro Hockey League, a training camp for probable players of the Pakistan hockey team will begin on January 5.
