Terrorists Cannot Occupy Even an Inch of Balochistan: CM Sarfraz Bugti Declares Firm Stance on Peace, Development, and Governance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quetta (July 23, 2025)<\/strong> \u2013 Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti<\/strong>, has strongly asserted that terrorist elements have no lasting foothold in Balochistan<\/strong>, stating that no anti-state actor can maintain control over even an inch of the province’s land<\/strong>. His remarks came after meeting with participants of the 16th National Workshop Balochistan<\/strong> held in Quetta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the participants and later speaking to the media, CM Bugti emphasized the importance of understanding the historical context of Balochistan\u2019s issues<\/strong>, which, according to him, are often misunderstood in other parts of Pakistan. He stated that the image portrayed about Balochistan outside the province is not reflective of reality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cIt is critical to know the truth of our past to understand the present and build a peaceful future. The perception regarding Balochistan in other provinces does not align with the ground realities here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Dispelling Myths: Root Causes of Conflict<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bugti rejected the widely held belief that uneven development or unemployment<\/strong> are the root causes of unrest in the province. While acknowledging that grievances exist, he pointed out that the government is working to engage disillusioned youth<\/strong>, listen to their concerns, and offer them a place within the national fold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cWe are ready to embrace our youth who are dissatisfied with the government. But those who engage in anti-state activities cannot expect dialogue beyond the constitution<\/strong>,\u201d he clarified firmly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Security and Peace Initiatives in Motion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister highlighted that the provincial government has devised a comprehensive Action Plan for peace in Balochistan<\/strong>. Security forces are currently conducting operations in grey zones<\/strong>, and although identifying friend from foe remains a challenge, terrorists will never be able to claim lasting control over any territory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur security forces are capable and committed. Terrorism may cause disruption, but no terrorist group can establish lasting control in Balochistan<\/strong>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to ensuring security, law and order<\/strong>, and maintaining state writ<\/strong> across the province, including in previously neglected or conflict-prone regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legislation on Missing Persons and Political Manipulation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Addressing one of the most sensitive and often politicized issues in Balochistan\u2014the missing persons crisis<\/strong>\u2014Sarfraz Bugti revealed that the provincial government has undertaken comprehensive legislative reforms<\/strong> to address the matter legally and transparently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also criticized elements that, according to him, are manipulating the youth of Balochistan<\/strong> and dragging them into a senseless and unproductive war<\/strong>. He said the people of Balochistan, particularly the youth, deserve education, employment, and empowerment<\/strong>, not weapons and war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThe Baloch nation is being pushed into an unwinnable and purposeless conflict by those who do not have its best interest at heart,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Reforms in Governance and Public Services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Shifting the focus toward governance and institutional reforms<\/strong>, CM Bugti announced that the provincial administration is actively working to improve service delivery systems<\/strong> in areas like health, education, and public administration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He proudly stated that 99% of hiring in the education and healthcare sectors has been done strictly on merit<\/strong>, which reflects the government\u2019s seriousness in eradicating nepotism and corruption<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the government is facilitating national and international scholarships for students<\/strong> across the province to ensure that talented Baloch youth have access to global learning opportunities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are investing in the future of our youth. Scholarships are being granted so that Baloch students can study at prestigious institutions in Pakistan and abroad,\u201d the CM noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Justice for Victims in Sang-e-Digar Incident<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Touching on the recent brutal murder of a man and a woman in Sang-e-Digari<\/strong>, CM Bugti assured that a full investigation is ongoing<\/strong>, and justice will be served. He confirmed that no family member of the victims has come forward to file an FIR<\/strong>, so the state itself has become the complainant in the case<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThe murder of any citizen is a matter of grave concern. The government is pursuing the case as the plaintiff, and we will ensure justice is delivered, regardless of social or tribal pressures,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

A Vision for Unity, Peace, and Development<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Bugti concluded his address by reinforcing the vision of a peaceful, prosperous, and united Balochistan<\/strong>. He emphasized that dialogue, constitutional order, and equal opportunity<\/strong> are the pillars upon which the province\u2019s future will be built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThere is no space for violence in our Balochistan. Our future lies in education, development, unity, and peace,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He also called upon the national leadership, media, and civil society to understand Balochistan beyond stereotypes<\/strong> and to play their role in mainstreaming its youth, culture, and aspirations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
