{"id":7467,"date":"2025-07-06T15:23:48","date_gmt":"2025-07-06T10:23:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=7467"},"modified":"2025-07-06T15:23:50","modified_gmt":"2025-07-06T10:23:50","slug":"federal-governments-debt-reaches-highest-level-in-pakistans-history","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=7467","title":{"rendered":"Federal Government&#8217;s Debt Reaches Highest Level in Pakistan&#8217;s History"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Islamabad:<\/strong> The <strong>federal government\u2019s debt<\/strong> has reached a <strong>new all-time high<\/strong> in the country\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>State Bank of Pakistan<\/strong> has released data on the federal government\u2019s debt up to <strong>May 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the State Bank&#8217;s documents, during the <strong>first 11 months of the current fiscal year<\/strong> (from <strong>July 2024 to May 2025<\/strong>), the federal government\u2019s debt increased by <strong>Rs. 7,131 billion<\/strong>, while between <strong>April and May 2025<\/strong>, the debt rose by <strong>Rs. 1,109 billion<\/strong> in just one month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The documents also show that between <strong>June 2024 and May 2025<\/strong>, there was a total increase of <strong>Rs. 8,312 billion<\/strong> in the federal government\u2019s debt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By <strong>May 2025<\/strong>, the <strong>total volume of federal government debt<\/strong> stood at <strong>Rs. 76,045 billion<\/strong>, comprising <strong>Rs. 53,460 billion in domestic debt<\/strong> and <strong>Rs. 22,585 billion in external debt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad: The federal government\u2019s debt has reached a new all-time high in the country\u2019s history.
