The leaders stated that, as part of the <strong>FFD 4 International Conference<\/strong> being held in 149 cities across 41 countries from June 27 to 29, thousands of people are demanding reforms in the global financial system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the protest, emphasis was placed on taking immediate steps such as <strong>debt cancellation<\/strong>, <strong>taxing the wealthy<\/strong>, and <strong>providing climate financing<\/strong>. Naari Foundation\u2019s <strong>Executive Director Anwar Ali Mehr<\/strong> said that Pakistan is bearing the brunt of climate disasters. People in <strong>Sindh, Balochistan, and other regions<\/strong> are repeatedly facing floods, droughts, and economic crises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that while global financial institutions continue to push for debt repayments and austerity policies, countries like Pakistan must prioritize spending financial resources on <strong>climate adaptation<\/strong>, <strong>debt relief<\/strong>, and <strong>public development<\/strong>.
