Executive Director of Jinnah Hospital, Dr. Shahid Rasool, stated that both doctors reported high fever and abdominal pain. One house officer is currently in home isolation, while the other has been admitted to the medical ICU at Jinnah Hospital.

He added that one of the house officers is showing about 90% of the symptoms associated with the Congo virus. Symptoms appeared in both doctors just a day after treating the infected patient. PCR test samples have been sent to the lab, and the Congo virus test reports are expected on Monday.

Dr. Rasool also mentioned that a fever desk has been established in the hospital’s emergency department. However, the hospital lacks large-scale isolation unit facilities.
