{"id":5293,"date":"2025-05-09T15:22:26","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T10:22:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=5293"},"modified":"2025-05-09T15:22:28","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T10:22:28","slug":"in-talks-pakistan-must-set-condition-india-doesnt-repeat-war-drama-every-two-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=5293","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;In talks, Pakistan must set condition India doesn&#8217;t repeat war drama every two years&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>India falsely claimed Pakistan launched missiles.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Joint commission needed for cross-border incidents.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Water threat from India termed unacceptable.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Former foreign secretary Aizaz Chaudhry has said that any future talks with India must come with strict pre-conditions to prevent the recurrence of New Delhi\u2019s \u201cwar drama\u201d every two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on<em>&nbsp;Geo News<\/em>&#8216; morning show &#8220;Geo Pakistan&#8221;, Chaudhry stressed the need for written guarantees to ensure such provocations are not repeated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe must be firm that this biennial drama by India comes to an end,\u201d he said, adding that India has repeatedly stirred tensions for political gains, particularly under the Modi administration, which he accused of fuelling hatred among the Indian public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chaudhry noted that Pakistan had been provoked considerably this time, alleging that India not only sent drones across the border but also launched a disinformation campaign to claim that Pakistan had fired missiles first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey accused us falsely of launching missiles and used that as a justification for sending drones,\u201d said the former diplomat. \u201cWe did not resort to lies\u2014we crafted our narrative with responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He called for the establishment of a joint commission between the two countries to probe such incidents and prevent future escalations. \u201cIf any such event occurs, there must be a mechanism\u2014an SOP\u2014that leads to a commission being formed immediately,\u201d Chaudhry proposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also criticised Indian media for continuously spreading falsehoods, saying the disinformation had reached unprecedented levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commenting on India\u2019s threat to block Pakistan\u2019s water, Chaudhry termed it \u201cunacceptable\u201d and a clear violation of regional norms. \u201cThere has to be a guarantee, written and binding, that India will not take such actions again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chaudhry further said that if no assurance is secured on two key points \u2014 India\u2019s war-mongering rhetoric and its aggressive tactics \u2014 then peace talks would hold little value. \u201cIf there\u2019s no guarantee on these, I don\u2019t see much benefit in pursuing peace talks,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former foreign secretary Aizaz Chaudhry has said that any future talks with India must come with strict pre-conditions to prevent the recurrence of New Delhi\u2019s \u201cwar drama\u201d every two years.
