{"id":5020,"date":"2025-05-02T18:13:44","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T13:13:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=5020"},"modified":"2025-05-02T18:13:46","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T13:13:46","slug":"gwyneth-paltrow-breaks-silence-on-ski-crash-trial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakjazbo.com\/?p=5020","title":{"rendered":"Gwyneth Paltrow breaks silence on ski crash trial"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hollywood actor Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken out on the ski trial after she was accused by a man of hit-and-run in Utah.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hit-and-run trial was tried in front of a jury in 2023 after a man named Terry Sanderson sued Paltrow for $3.1 million for a 2016 skiing collision on a Utah mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hollywood actor countersued for $1, claiming that Sanderson was at fault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The case was heard by a jury in 2023, and agreed with Gwyneth Paltrow after deliberating for less than three hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trial became the highlight of news reports, particularly due to Paltrow\u2019s court fashion and demeanour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hollywood actor was hailed for showing grace in victory as she wished Sanderson well as she departed the courtroom following the jury\u2019s verdict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the verdict, Paltrow released a statement saying, \u201cI felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity. I am pleased with the outcome and I appreciate all of the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury, and thank them for their thoughtfulness in handling this case.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two years after the ski trial, Gwyneth Paltrow addresses the motives behind her decision to fight the case in court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI have to say, the idea that someone could ski into your back and knock you down and then sue you. I was like, \u2018This is everything that\u2019s wrong with our legal system,\u2019\u201d she said during a recent interview with a foreign media outlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gwyneth Paltrow added, \u201cIt was ridiculous. That\u2019s why I felt like I had to fight it.
