NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Royals\u2019 teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi fell to a two-ball duck in the IPL on Thursday, just days after he became\u00a0\u00a0to hit a T20 ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Left-handed opener Suryavanshi, who is just 14 years old, made waves after he struck a record 35-ball century in a match earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teenager has played just four games in the IPL, but has wowed viewers with his fearless approach and bat strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nicknamed \u201cBoss Baby\u201d, Suryavanshi has drawn instant comparisons with West Indies great Chris Gayle, who styled himself as the \u201cUniverse Boss\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But on Thursday, millions of fans who eagerly awaited Suryavanshi\u2019s turn at the crease saw the teenager fall swiftly without having troubled the scorer in a match against IPL heavyweights Mumbai Indians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The money-spinning IPL has been a breeding ground for up-and-coming talent with the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah making a name for themselves through the league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But never has a 14-year-old garnered so much attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cricketing veterans, however, have warned him of life in the spotlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rajasthan head coach Rahul Dravid, speaking at a news conference organised by Star Sports earlier this week, said there was still a long road ahead for the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNobody is saying he\u2019s a finished article,\u201d Dravid said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
